Henry S. Tang grew up in New York speaking fluent Mandarin and Cantonese. Mr. Tang later attended Columbia University, where he studied international economics and Asian international affairs.
After earning an MBA degree from Columbia University, Mr. Tang entered the Wall Street investment industry as an economist with subsequent assignments in research analysis, portfolio strategy, corporate finance, sales, syndication, trading and corporate securities management.
Besides his professional activities in the field of corporate finance, Mr. Tang has devoted his life to serving the American Chinese Community and has made constant efforts to promote mutual understanding between the US and China.
Mr. Tang frequently travels to Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, and Europe to conduct business. Despite a busy work schedule, Mr. Tang takes time to participate in many public and community activities in his role as a governor of the Committee of 100.
